The Foundation (1920s-1926)

Bai Kabibai and Hansraj Morarji Charity Trust has a rich and glorious history. In mid 1920s, renowned philanthropist Seth Hansraj Morarji and his noble wife Bai Kabibai decided to donate their entire wealth to the cause of education and charity, establishing the Trust in 1926.

Vision of Excellence

Shri KM Munshi, an eminent freedom fighter and educationist, was one of the founding Trustees with a vision to start a school on the lines of public schools to impart quality education to children in India.

1939

School Foundation

Hansraj Morarji Public School started as a residential school in hired premises in three bungalows off Ghod Bundar Road, with about 50 students.

1940

Foundation Stone

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel laid the foundation stone of the hostel building on January 28, 1940, at the Andheri premises acquired in 1938.

1941-1946

War Years Journey

The school moved through various locations - Andheri (1941), Vadtal Gujarat (wartime), Worli (1943), and finally back to Andheri Campus (1946).

1962

Historic Inauguration

The new school building was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on August 19, 1962, marking a new era of educational excellence.

1957

Recognition

The school became a full-fledged member of the Indian Public School Conference, establishing its reputation for quality education.

Today's Legacy

Andheri Campus

28-acre lush green campus housing five prominent schools with extensive indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
